At Church Alive we are committed to sharing the love of Jesus with the hurting and the most needy among us. Cleveland's winters can be cold, long and harsh on those living on the streets, especially those with families.
Each Saturday Denise Moore and a group of caring people deliver a hot meal to many that would simply go hungry otherwise. You can be a part of reaching those others have forgotten...
We urgently need the following immediately...
CAMPING TENTS (3-4 NEEDED IMMEDIATELY) ALSO NEEDED - TARPS, SLEEPING BAGS, BLANKETS AND ANY TYPE OF CAMPING EQUIPMENT, FIREWOOD OR SMALL KEROSENE HEATERS, MEN'S JEANS, SHOES, BOOTS AND SOCKS.
Please help us make life a little more survivable for our friends on the streets. To donate please call the church office at 216-398-5671 or you can contact Denise Moore at (440) 840-7622 or Gail Zabawski at (216) 251-5146 or email neicymoore@msn.com and we will arrange for pickup. Jesus said...
"I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me."
Then those 'sheep' are going to say, "Master, what are you talking about? When did we
ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you
sick or in prison and cometo you?'
Then the King will say, 'I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever
you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.'
Matthew 25:35-40 (The Message)
Beauty for Ashes!
Do you feel as though Lebron James has betrayed you and our wonderful city? Want to move on and forget the pain of yet another famous athlete abandoning Northeast Ohio? Don't burn his jersey, donate it to our homeless ministry and turn your pain into a blessing for someone who would otherwise be cold this winter. On July 25th, we are encouraging every who desires to discard their Lebron wear (jerseys, shorts, sweats, etc.) to do so in a constructive manner. Bring it to church and donate it to our homeless ministry. We'll be looking for you!
